PROJECT TEAM
Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc. is a well-established civil engineering, highway design, surveying, planning and landscape architecture firm that has been serving South Florida for over 65 years. Our municipal experience in South Florida is unsurpassed as we provide consulting engineering services to over 12 distinguished municipalities, including the City of Weston, City of Miramar, City of Pembroke Pines, Town of Lantana, and the City of Marathon. In addition, we also serve as consulting engineers to Palm Beach County, the City of West Palm Beach, the Florida Department of Transportation Districts 4 and 6, South Broward Drainage District, and the Broward County Traffic Engineering Division.

With a staff approaching 120 professionals, Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc. has the unique ability to provide a broad range of consulting services while maintaining a direct and personal relationship with our clients that is traditionally characteristic of much smaller firms. Our multi-disciplined firm offers a variety of services such as civil and sanitary engineering, highway engineering, surveying, planning, landscape architecture, transportation engineering, geographic information systems (GIS), and construction management services. We have approximately 25 registered/certified professionals, and six (6) survey crews.

We have been providing a wide range of municipal engineering services for over 15 years. In fact, many of our municipal clients have retained our services for the same length of time. This is because the CGA Team is committed to providing personalized attention by listening to our client’s needs, which allows us to respond quickly and efficiently with an appropriate solution in a timely, and economical fashion. To this end, we believe Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc. has the unique quality to provide “large firm” services with a “small firm” attitude and attention to detail.

For the Midway Road PD&E project, Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc. has assembled a highly qualified, competent and cohesive team of professionals with substantial expertise in all of the key areas required for a successful PD&E study. The key personnel assigned to this project have expertise in traffic operation, project management, roadway design, drainage, surveying, geotechnical engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, environmental sciences, community planning and public involvement. Early on, we recognized the need to expand upon this solid foundation of personnel to ensure that we had specialists in the areas of historic tree preservation and transplantation, historic building preservation and relocation, and archaeological and cultural resources. We also recognized the need to ensure that our team included innovative and forward thinkers who could adjust the standard PD&E process into a program that was also highly sensitive to the historic and environmental context of White City. We also must give credit to White City residents, elected officials and County Staff whose prior input, fortitude and insightfulness enabled our team to recognize the important challenges facing the successful completion of this PD&E study. We sincerely believe that we have developed the correct professional “formula” of expertise and innovation to successfully complete this project for St. Lucie County.

One of the key catalysts to the formula is Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc., who we have invited as a sub consultant to collaborate on this very important project because of their exceptional reputation for providing quality services to St. Lucie County and our two firms’ past working relationship. Completing the team are the following other outstanding sub consultant firms:

• Dunkelberger Engineering & Testing, Inc. – Geotechnical Consulting
• Steve Clark & Associates, Inc. – Historic Tree Preservation and Relocation
• Preservation Resource, Inc. – Historic Building Preservation and Relocation
• Janus Research, Inc. – Archaeological, Cultural and Historic Resources
• Burdette & Associates, Inc. – Surveying, Mapping and Subsurface Locations
• Southern Resource Mapping, Inc. – Aerial Photography

Most of these firms have worked closely together in the recent past, and all have significant experience in their respective technical areas.
